Landmarks are the fifth type of card in Machi Koro. Each player starts with a set of unconstructed landmarks that are built and paid for over the course of the game. The winner is the first player to build out all of their landmarks. Landmarks also allow players to perform different actions, for example, the Train Station allows a player to choose to roll two dice.
City Hall is no-cost, pre-constructed Landmark, which is playable from the first turn.
